Come to the Union to study!

Now that the semester is in full force, many students have to begin preparing for quizzes and tests. Milne and Fraser can get crowded, and students are often in need of a different place to study.

The MacVittie College Union offers so many different study environments that give everyone a place to prepare for their next big test! There is also a lot of comfy seating scattered around the Union in addition to these suggestions.

Starbucks

This is a great place to study if you’re in need of a drink or snack! You can study at the tables or in the comfy chairs!

Conference Rooms

Students can study or do work in any of the conference rooms located on the third floor of the Union. Just make sure that you don’t get settled when a group is scheduled to meet in there!

Fireside Lounge

The Fireside Lounge has two sections – comfy chairs/couches for lounging and a large table for group work.

East/West Side Lounge

The East/West Side Lounge has plenty of comfy seating and is great for hanging out with friends during a study break!

Mailroom

For those students who can’t seem to focus when their cell phones are on, the mailroom is the best study environment! Many cell phones don’t get service in the mailroom, so you can study without any distractions.

CoPA/Computer Lab on 1st floor

The computer room is convenient for students who need to print something out or do work online. There is a black and white and a color printer in the computer room.

Commuter Locker Room/Cave on 1st floor

This is one of the newest places to do work in the Union. There are tables and chairs as well as comfy seating down here!

Quiet Study Lounge on 1st floor

If you need to get away from the noise in the Union, this is the place to go. The quiet study lounge is perfect for students who need silence to be productive.

Mosaic Room on 1st floor

This is another option for studying or relaxing. There are beanbag chairs and tables for work too!

On behalf of the College Union & Activities, good luck with your work! We hope you have a great semester!
