Have you ever had a great idea for an event? Do you want to see this idea come to life? Well Geneseo Late Knight does! ANY student and/or student organization can put together an event to take place in one of the many venues that Geneseo has to offer. GLK typically holds programs in the Knight Spot, the College Union Ballroom, and the College Union Lobby. These events can take place on Friday between 10pm and 2am, Saturday between 10pm and 2am, and sometimes on Thursday Evenings between 7pm and 11pm if a students prefers.
To fund the event there are two options. You may apply for a small grant, up to $300, once a month OR apply for a large grant, up to $1200, once a semester. Requests for small grants can be made online at least 2 weeks before the date of your event. For large grants we ask that you submit the request online and 3-4 weeks before the date of your event. We are up for anything and welcome your innovation and new ideas. Our goal is to have events that reach a wide variety of Geneseo students.
Don’t worry! You don’t have to do this all on your own! There are a number of people willing to help you formulate your ideas and help plan the details of the event. There are 4 programming interns who would love to hear your ideas and of course the Geneseo Late Knight Coordinator Stephanie Medina.
So if you wish to make an event happen, come stop by the Geneseo Late Knight office in the College Union, Room 326 start making plans. This will turn an idea into something real and grant you the opportunity to have the event you have always wanted. We will do everything we can to make your event a success.
